And as it should be, very happy about this, now I can visit the cousins in L.A. since they were all huge Ram fans
back in the day with season tickets. I went to a Pats-Rams game in 86 in L.A. last play of the game Patriots
throw hail mary and win, needless to say I had to walk back to my cousins house...no just kidding.

Went to Rams-Patriots game Christmas Eve day 1989 here in New England and Rams won, so it's even
that's when you could by a ticket on the 40 yard line 15 minutes before kickoff, blacked out home games
      unheard of today.

I read the Raiders could be moving to San Antonio, Texas? That would have an odd ring to it. San Antonio Raiders? Uhm...

Sounds like there is now a push to move the Raiders to Las Vegas?

The league would probably never allow that.
The Chargers staying in San Diego for the 2016 season doesn't mean they won't still move to Los Angeles; they have a year to decide.

It's all crazy but the almighty dollar has the final say. The Rams back in Los Angeles is how it should be,
the Chargers might still move to L.A. next season, wish they wouldn't but to much money is being spent
on a new stadium to only support one team, and I'll bet the MLS will have the Galaxy play there as well.

The Raiders moving to San Antonio would be ridiculous, I don't live in Northern California but I'm guessing
when it comes to Football the 49ers are more popular especially with the new stadium and Super Bowl 50
being played there, I actually heard the Raiders would move to San Diego if the Chargers did leave, how crazy
would that be? what to do with the Raiders is a mystery, and also rumors of the Athletics moving, I heard San Jose
would take the A's but like I said, isn't all that area 49ers and Giants fans? and now there's rumors of the Jacksonville
Jaguars moving too? what a fiasco

The Bay Area is basically four sectors, the Peninnsula (San Francisco), Eastbay (Oakland), north bay (Santa Rosa), and south bay (San Jose).

San Jose is a proud city, a city that doesn't get international recognition like San Francisco does...yet it's larger than San Francisco...and it's at the center of Silicon Valley.

San Jose is mostly Sharks fans...they don't have alliegience to neither San Francisco nor Oakland. San Jose has Niner fans, Raiders fans, Giants fans, and A's fans. If the A's move to San Jose, trust me, they would drop the Giants in a second and they would all become just A's fans, lol.

If the Raiders leave, the A's are not moving though, as they just signed a 10 year extension lease...the only way they can legally break that lease is if the Raiders stay (it's in the contract).

While I'd agree that there are more Niners fans than Raiders fans...the Raiders are still very popular, especially in other Eastbay cities like Alameda, Berkeley, San Leandro, Walnut Creek, Hayward, Concord, Dublin, Richmond, Fremont, etc...

Hector I imagine the NFL would want only one team in the bay area for a market dominance. Most likely that would be the 49ers. I know the raiders have loyal fans and a history there but that means nothing in the eyes of the NFL (or the owner of the team). It probably didn't matter as much back in the 60's 70's but the Nfl is a bigger buisness than it was back then. They did the same thing to Baltimore where they were denied a team twice by the NFL despite the history there (jacksonville and Carolina got it) due to a football market being so close do d.c., philly, new york, etc.
I travel all over for work and the bay area seems to have alot of transplants from other states ( florida is the same way) so there' lots of fans of other teams there as well the 2 main ones.

                        Yeah, good points,

Also, the NFL hated Al Davis, and now they are letting his son have it...

My first choice is for the Raiders to stay in Oakland of course. My second choice? Definitely NOT Los Angeles, San Diego, San Antonio, or Las Vegas.

No, my second choice would be Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the Niners...45 miles from Oakland.

                          It's possible:

If it were to happen, I hope they are still called the Oakland Raiders, and not the, gulp, Santa Clara Raiders, lol.

I mean, Niners moved way down there, and are still called the San Francisco 49ers.

Mmm, I'm open to that possibility...

Ehhh , Did I hear you right, two teams in San fran? c'mon son. Seriously
As far as the league not respecting Davis. Would you take this guy seriously?

Again, Levi stadium is NOT in San Francisco (c'mon son ), it's in Santa Clara, a city 45 miles from both San Francisco and Oakland. Santa Clara is actually a little closer to Oakland than San Francisco (42 miles vs 45 miles).

Before, both teams' stadiums were actually much closer to each other...from Oakland Coliseum to San Francisco's Candlestick Park, 22 miles.

So yeah, Santa Clara is a pretty neutral place...plus that stadium was built to accommodate a second team...and the Niners are actually not opposed to the idea of sharing Levi stadium with another team, as they would split operating costs.

The Los Angeles forum has both the Lakers and Clippers.

Los Angeles will have the Rams and Chargers.

Levi can definitely host both the Niners and Raiders.

I wouldn't have a problem with the Raiders playing in Santa Clara, not at all.

The problem is Davis...he's does not want to go to Santa Clara...he's a monumental imbecile, lol.
