Just an amazing collection...this just fell in my lap. Here's the story if you're a little bored.. Some guy who knows me from the thrift shop I buy in..gets in contact with me and tells me he's cleaning out a hoarders house who passed away and found toys , he was selling them so I said okay. he brings me that box and tells me $20!! I could'nt believe it.. all pretty much flawless and never played with. The poor lady had passed away and as he tells me the lady had a child who died very young and she kept buying stuff for him..he called me to come over but by that time someone else had cleaned house and taken all the toys but I guess I can't be greedy.. I jumped in the dumpster and started looking thru bags and was able to salvage some stuff but I just didn't have the time to go thru everything anyways not a bad haul for $20

I was told the moon explorer alone is worth $2K at least in that condition from a dealer on ebay

yea I felt horrible..but better to end up with a collector then in the trash ...and it goes to show that there's still a bunch of places with old toys yet to be discovered

Yeah some people are will fully ignorant of treasures out there. But then again if something falls outside your field of expertise.
I feel your frustration on not knowing what the guy before you got. 60's Era HW Redlines, Joes, and Captain Action come to mind.
I was at a local show and some guy swooped up loose Secret Wars before I could get out the wallet. I wanted that Wolverine :( and maybe he had Hobgoblin or Electro before that. But I have gotten some good deals at shows so that's the way it goes.

And that space haul is nothing to sneeze at.

yea I know...he had first dibs for free and only grabbed one box!!! lol which happened to be the one he gave me..he said there were boxes of wind up toys in boxes.. I honestly think I may have done it to myself, it was hard to hold my excitement and I have a feeling he went back and took the rest, had them checked out and now knows what he had

Congrats D, great find! I know very little about this stuff, but these toys and boxes look near pristine. Considering the vintage, there's probably not too much of this stuff still out there in that kind of condition, so that should have a big impact on the going prices.

I love the older stuff, especially with the old-school graphic style boxes.
                          What an amazing find.
I have a handful of these old space-age tin toys from the 50-60s, but not as mint as these. Been ages since I checked prices, 'cause I can't afford any of them anymore.

In the words of Indy, these belong in a museum!
