Need some 70's Southern Gothic movie picks

Been getting into 70's Southern Gothic movies and i'm running out of memories of ones I used to like.

At this point I recently watched Return to Macon County and Tick - Tick -Tick.

My mind is drawing blank on other good ones

Here are a few to check out.

White lightning and Gator come to mind. Any Burt Reynolds movie (some comedy some not), Deliverance, Hooper, Smokey and the Bandit for instance.
Moonrunners influenced the Dukes of Hazzard.
    Convoy with Kris Kristoferon
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry with Peter Fonda as well as Easy Rider
I walk the line - Gregory Peck
Bonnie and Clyde - from 1967 Warren Beatty - not the 70s but one to see!
    Any Billie Jack movie

Hmmm--I guess I don't consider these movies mentioned as Southern Gothic. To me, Southern Gothic would be films like Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte; The Beguiled; Cape Fear; and Night of the Hunter.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Southern comfort ,filmed in 81 but pretty close and great film.
                  I'd second "walking tall" films
                  Deliverance
                  White lightning
                  Gator
                  Born losers
                  Billy jack
                  Billy jack returns
I'd pass on Billy goes to Washington
                  Dirty Mary crazy Larry
                  Easy rider
                  And throw in :
                  Two lane blacktop
                  Vanishing point
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

Never heard the term Southern Gothic before. I was picturing Siouxsie Sioux playing a banjo.
