    Christmas Music..Yes or No?

What do you think of Christmas music? I like some stuff in small doses. For me alot of the classic christmas songs are sendimental because as kids my mom would have christmas music playing while we opened up the presents under the tree.
So I would say Yes (in small doses of course).
What are some of your favorite and non favorite christmas songs?

I love the old school ones these days...

Does it hurt that my grandson wants to play this in July when it's 103 outside? Not a bit. But it fits better when the weather is in agreement.

Of course, and you can find the old specials like Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, Dean Martin posted to Youtube in their entirety in case you missed them because you were... too young... or not here at all yet.

love Christmas music......but not before December 1st. we play it on the radio or on CD's in the stereo all through the month. I love Ringo's Christmas album. a lot of great stuff on there. I also love Twisted Sisters Christmas album, it is just so out there but they sound great. I love the classic rock artists doing songs. Queen, Bowie, Emmerson lake and Palmer, Elton, Lennon.....there are some many great ones.....and yes, I like McCartney's Wonderful Christmas time....just a cheery and catchy tune

Been listening to Sirus XM's Holiday Traditions station which plays mostly classic Christmas music, or music in that style. Also dug out some of my mom's old vinyl albums, and have been listening to those. It's definitely a nostalgia button for getting me deeper into the season.

I LOVE Christmas music. Especially the old stuff. It's a great time of year for easy listening. Living Voices, Living Strings, Hollyridge Strings, Ray Conniff... good stuff. Here's one of my favorites. Non traditional, but really catchy:

Then there's the mysterious "Caroleers" from the 1970s who recorded lots of Children's music for Peter Pan and Tinkerbell Records

I listen to a lot of film scores too. Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Santa Claus the Movie. Here's a piece from John Williams from Home Alone 2, which is one of the most joyous, Christmassy pieces I've ever heard.

This one is especially appropriate this year. People trash this album, but I adore it dearly. It's my fast track to Happyland.

Then there's all the crooners like Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Perry Como.

Gene Autry is the KING of Santa based songs. There are tons of them by him.

I'm always up for some Motown or Jackson 5 too.

Oh, and don't forget Vince Guaraldi Trio's score to Charlie Brown!

I'm looking at my iTunes Christmas playlist. The stats are 2,117 songs, 159 albums, 4.2 days of music!

I listen to Burl Ives Christmas album every year.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
