    Any bourbon lovers here?

Its that time of year again, this year's bourbons are coming out.

I went to a bourbon raffle tonight. Over 400 people showed up for about 12 bottles of bourbon. I scored twice!!!! The raffle is not to give away bottles of high dollar bourbon, its for winning the chance to buy a high dollar bottle of bourbon.

I got these two, a bottle of Midsummer Nights Dram ($100) and a bottle of George T Stagg ($130). I looked these up on line when I got home. The Midsummer sells for $200-$300 a bottle and the Stagg sells for $800-$1000 a bottle.

Within a hour of boasting my winnings on a bourbon forum I am a member of, some one has already offered me a $700 bottle of scotch in trade. I am a scotch man more than a bourbon man.

Mikey, if you try some of these rare bourbons, you would never look back at the that. Look at the picture above. The Stagg is 138.2 proof and when you drink it straight (or piece of ice or two) and it is so smooth and has zero burn, you would understand. I am not a big drinker, so a bottle of this stuff last me a couple months, easily. I did crack open the Midsummer when I got home. It is 100 proof and is as smooth as water.

I always enjoy a good boubon, neat, two fingers, three on a bad day. I've never had the pleasure of enjoying the super-premium bourbons you scored, but I have tried some really good bourbon from a place called "High West Distillery." Really good stuff. Had the opportunity to try a bit of Pappy Van Winkle last month. Pretty damn smooth with just a hint of fire.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

He offered me a bottle of Macallan 25, but he backed out today, so I traded it for a bottle of Belvenie 21 yr old scotch and a bottle of 12 yr old Hibiki (Japanese "scotch")
