    thank you!

    Thanks everyone!

What an experience. My time is a little disappointing, 4 hours, 20 minutes. My best time was two years ago, 4:05. I seem to be going in the wrong direction : )

My knees, which have been giving me trouble, gave out around mile 21. I had to stop in a medical tent and have them numbed with that icy spray they have. It enabled me to grind out the last few miles, but my time was totally shot.

Still, I am glad I did it and proud that I raised about $3,600 for an organization here in Boston that I support, called AIDS Action Committee.

    Chris

Thanks Brue! Raising money adds even more meaning to it for me.

I live near the hills, so I am able to train on them. Still, this was where my knees gave out on me. They come at you so late in the day, that you really need to conserve energy for them.

Congratulations on completing the run, and also for being able to raise so much $$ for charity. The only time I run is after the bus...but I drive so that never happens anymore.
