First off, I think the person who invented this should be strung up. As if parents don't have enough stress and things to do during the holiday season. I LOATHE this little $#@&%!. The constant compulsion to come up with creative and crafty one-upmanship is completely draining the fun out of the season.

That said...


When you nail it, it's pretty cool. As for our Elf's name.... The Child is the one who is supposed to come up with a name for the elf, by speaking the first name that pops in their head. And our daughter years ago blurted out the name you see here on the packaging.

I've got a dozen or so vintage ones. We've always just used them as decorations. I can't even keep up with the advent calender let alone set up different scenarios for the elves every night.

Yeah, I have a vintage one that's been in our family since I was a kid. But he just gets put on a shelf and he just stays there until after Christmas.

In honor of tomorrow, I made this one out of a Raisin Bran box and some paper towel tubes. The windshield is cut from a 2 liter bottle.

Our Elf has been dressed in a Batman shirt and Spider-Man mask this year, and has been Hob-Knobbing with Hot Toys and Megos!
