    Evercleanse??

I have heard a lot on the radio about a product called evercleanse that will clean your intestines of waste buildup that gets stuck on the sides of your intestines (I know it sounds disgusting). I was wondering, does this really happen or is it a gimmick? I tend to be suspicious of stuff like this. Anyone else hear these ads? Are they for real?

Are you asking if it's true that waste buildups on your insides, or if the product actually works? Because I heard it's true that waste can build up on the inside of your intestines. As for the actual product working, no clue about that. :P

Good question, guess I thought is sounded very fishy both the product and the supposed buildup. I just don't know but hear this ad everywhere.

In nursing school I had to help out at several colonoscopies for clinicals. NEVER did I see any of built up crud they claim show up on the camera. Normal pink tissue, medications if taken, normal stuff. Now you do get cleaned out with an enema before hand. Now if thats the case then a normal enema would work just as good if not better then their over priced stuff.

That stuff is a con just like those detox foot pads.

Just enough science to make it sound convincing thats about it.

I saw on Penn & Teller's show "bull*****" that thewhole build up thing is just a new health fad/myth, and that the liver does eliminate almost all toxins from the body with out needing these special colon cleaners etc.

It's all bull**** (no pun intended)...the secret is just too eat right, lots of fiber, veggies, fruits, water, etc. Avoid heavy meats and junk food.

If you have that cleansing procedure, and on the next day you eat a huge double cheesburger, you'll be back to square one just like that.

Besides, the intestines are not the problem, it's the colon (which I no longer have) you have to worry about...a good healthy diet will save your colon in the future.

I saw the episode as well, and I completely agree.

Yeah, I was a nurse for 9 years, and I used to do lots of bowel preps for colonosopies (not my fave procedure, but, hey, it was a living). Same basic observation, except I wanted to note that some people do get what is known as diverticulitis/diverticulosis, in which little (or big) pouches can form in the walls of intestines. These can act as little hiding places/alcoves where stuff builds up and does not come through the system normally. The colonoscopy generally reveals that, along with a set of symptoms. Best to get a doc's (but not Dr. Mego's) advice on stuff like this. Gotta look into diets and treatments for this.

The best purging OTC treatment for general irregularity is a mild laxative. Better yet, maintenance with lots of H20 & fiber. I wouldn't go with any of these new agey supplements and stuff.

                    Thats all a scam.

If you want a good guide on health, and what you can do to take care of yourself. Check out this book. This Dr is in Nashville and has a weekly radio show. In this book he has several diets you can take to purge the toxins out of your body. I've read his book and swear buy the stuff in it.

                      evercleanse

Hi, txteach. I've heard about it, but I'm not sure I'll order it after reading the review in http://www.evercleansereviews.com/. I'll have to think about it many times over again.
