    RIP, Martin E. Brooks(1925-2015)

Martin E. Brooks, best known as the third actor to portray scientist Dr. Rudy Wells in the 1970's TV series 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and its spin-off 'The Bionic Woman' has passed away at the age of 90. Martin Balsam originated the role in the 1973 TV movie, followed by Alan Oppenheimer, then Brooks. Rest in peace, Mr. Brooks. You've earned it.

I saw this on Facebook. Bummer, but you can't complain about 90. He lived a good long life.

He was my favorite of the 3 actors that portrayed Rudy Wells.

He had just turned 90 on November 30. Oppenheimer's the only Rudy Wells we have left now, at least until the character is recast for 'The Six Billion Dollar Man' feature film.

Yes, 90 is a good long life, but Martin, you will still be missed! RIP

            RIP Rudy...

I'm glad he lived long enough to see himself immortalized in plastic. He will always be remembered.

Yeah, he was good on the "SMDM" & "Bionic Woman"...

As a side-note for 70s Sci-Fi TV fans, Martin played two different apes (a chimp and a gorilla) on the "Planet of the Apes" series: Dr. Leander in "The Surgeon" and "Konag" in "Up Above The World So High"...

Was surprised to learn he was actually older than Oppenheimer Rudy.

                    RIP
