GameStop seems to have some pretty good deals. $80 each for XBox 360,PS3 and 3DS. Best part? It's buy 2 get 1 free.

I'll be in the minority of people who don't work retail, but still have to work. The printing industry rarely takes a breath longer than a day...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

It's become tradition for us to get out either late night Thanksgiving or early morning on Friday, so I'm sure we'll continue that this year.

Yeah, I seen that in their flyer... I went there tonight to buy the various seasons of The Simpsons... Of the three different seasons slotted on their shelves, there was only one of season 15 left...

I'm avoiding the sales and going to go speak at a sci-fi con.

Yeah, the store near me was picked over, too. I hit them on-line for several seasons of Mad Men and one or two others. They also had 1&2 of Archer.

OK - the wife and I got up at 5 and got in line inside our destination store. She held our place while I looked around; didn't find anything else I wanted. At 6 we got our item, and I was home by 6:20. She's still shopping. It was all good with no drama/fighting/incivility.

I had really only planned on hitting Target for the xbox one, my wife came with and of course the one on sale was all gone. I picked up the bigger bundle instead and then we hit a whole lot of other stores. we had not done any Christmas shopping yet so we did a good portion of our shopping yesterday. some stores were a little crazy in the sense of crowding but nothing out of control or unruly. everyone was friendly and smiling so it was all good. even bought a new Christmas tree to replace the old beat up one in my man cave

Toronto's Silver Snail had an in-store sign showing 'Megos 50% off' at the 8" FTC section. I did a double take I was reading it right. Today, I am still happy to have seen that sign with the word 'Mego' in it. Now I wish I had taken a pic of the posted discount to add to my old man memories! Needless to say, I mostly hovered over that section.

George the owner is an old school Mego fan and has a wonderful take on them. I really like talking Mego with him and he is a huge supporter of our Captain Canuck figure.
