I had a split second to swerve right or left, and I didn't think I could miss it on the left, so I went right, and there was a semi beside me. I came so close to him I clipped either his fender or his gas tank.

Another inch and I'd have gone under the truck and wouldn't be sitting here right now. You can see where my right front tire actually touched the truck.

    I'm still shaking.
Did your get out and exchange information with the trucker? If he's a company driver, it will likely be reported to the police. If he got your plates, you might even be charged with hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, etc.

Where I live wherever someone died from a car accident you can often see on the side of the road a small memorial/plaque. That could have been you. Be grateful. Be careful. Glad you're still with us on this side.

If I left the scene of an accident, then so did he. The truck did not even slow down....he took off way ahead of me. I dont think there was any damage anyway except to my tire.

That's a chilling reminder of how easily this can all be taken away; any time you get behing the wheel of a motor vehicle, you're at the mercy of so many variables that are out of your control.
Yes... This... None of us are as close to death as when we take to the roads.

                  Now stay that way.

Yikes! That does sound really scary.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Glad you're Ok. It's going on two years I crashed my car two times in a bad snowstorm, so I know this feeling well.
