Anyone else here the only child?

Just little JB for my parents. I may have been a bit spoiled as a tot.

I guess I was lucky growing up. I had friends and cousins visit all the time. I was never lonely and the best part was that I never had to share my toys and everyone went away at the end of the day before they wore out their welcome.

Any others out there?

not me, I am one of 5. but my wife was an only child and she felt lonely and wanted siblings. she especially appreciated my having siblings to lean on during my parents passing. it helped to have shoulders to lean on and help with the work of dealing with an estate.

Growing up never knew what "alone" ment.

Was the youngest so had my fair share of being spoiled.

Wouldn't trade the whole experience away for a zillion dollars

Of my mom and dad's kids, I'm the youngest, but there are some half siblings that are younger (dad's kids). But since the other were so much older than I was, sometimes it felt like I was the only child. My brother and sister have died, and now (of my parents joint children) there's just me and my older brother left.

Only child here.... Got tired of hearing you're spoiled etc.... Really wasn't, and yeah it was lonely sometimes.

I'm not, but my wife is, and we are parents to an only child. We're not planning on having any more. I'm content, my wife's content , and so far my child's happy as can be.
I'm sure one day she may ask us about why she has no siblings, but we have lots of aunts, uncles, cousins etc. She's far from lonely.

Only child here, too. And yeah I had the chance to have some really nice toys early in my life.

My childhood with my brother and sister were the loneliest period imaginable. They were 7 and 10 years older than me, and treated me as if I wasn't there.
Then when they started flipping out, yeah, then they found me.
And they wonder why a kid spends all his time dreaming about other planets...

Being the youngest, for me it was like having a whole bunch of moms and dads (in a good way).

I have just one younger brother who is 2 inches taller than me. I HATE that, lol.
