Half hour before the game and I'm getting ready. Not afraid of a rain delay as a Mets fan because we have 6 starters on the roster for the series. So if Harvey has to come out because of a rain delay going to long I don't think it will hurt the Mets as much as it would hurt the Royals. Can Murphy continue this other worldly run in the playoffs??!!?? We'll see. Two Mets that I would keep an eye out for because they had very quiet series in the first 2 rounds...Flores and Duda. My prediction is Mets in 6 games...though I'd love to see it in 5 so that it could be won at home in Citi Field. LET'S GO METS!!!

Not a fan of the Mets but Daniel Murphy is one heck of a hitter. I'll probably watch a little here and there. I was really hoping Chicago could have put up more of a fight but it just wasnt meant to be.

I was for the Royals last year in the World Series, so I have to stick with them this year!

Plus the Mets beat the Dodgers ( Well the Dodgers beat themselves in that series)

I hope it is a good series. Both are great teams and deserve to be in the World Series.

So far, even though the Mets lost tonight, it's shaping up to be a great series.

Three things I want to get off of my chest: 1) I don't want to see Familia Quick Pitch the rest of the series. 2) If Cudyer can't move up on the plate I don't want to see him the rest of the series. Finally 3) Can someone tell me how I can synch the radio broadcast with the TV broadcast. I can't take Joe Buck. I might break my small widescreen TV if I hear that IDIOT one more time. I was HAPPY when Smoltz and the other MLB announcer took over when Fox's broadcast brokedown. Fox is just AWFUL so far with the series. NOT ONCE did they come back to the game in the first 5 innings from the commercial break and the first pitch of the inning wasn't already thrown. Fox can't do fair and balanced when it comes to regular TV and they just SUCK when it comes to baseball. I hope to GOD that MLB Network takes over the whole playoffs soon because I can't take when broadcasters have NO RIGHT doing a broadcast when they know nothing about the sport. Joe Buck is just AWFUL.

it's not like the world cup or commonwealth games though just thought it was a weird name for something where only 1 or 2 countries compete.

I never understood why it's called the World Series, it's been called that since 1903, so I just excepted it,
but in this day era, I really wouldn't be surprised if it gets changed to something else like
the MLB Championship series.

Not only is Joe Buck awful but why the heck do they have Tom Verducci giving insider analysis of pitchers and hitters. Isn't that what Harold Reynolds is there for?

I do listen to the radio broadcast from WOR through the At Bat app. Luckily the tv broadcast is a minute or so ahead of the radio so I use the DVR to sync them up and it makes for a much better experience (other than the Mets losing the first two games).

In honor of a FREAKIN' great pitching performance tonight:

"Thor" brought the THUNDER AND LIGHTNING from the first pitch of the game. David Wright had a HUGE game. That home run he hit you could hear it all the way out here in Suffolk County. You knew it was gone from contact. Grandy man came through in so many ways. Great win. One down and 3 to go. One inning at a time and one game at a time. LET'S GO METS!!!

Cespedes and Murphy's fault tonight. I hope the Mets don't sign Cespedes. May be a good power hitter...but he can't hit a breaking ball or a slider for his life. Bury it in the dirt and he'll go fishing. He had a "Murphy" bonehead play to get doubled up in the middle of a possible rally to end the game. Not dead yet...but we are on life support.
