    No..not in my house.
Born and raised in Chicago. I have been in Jimmy's hot dogs and had a tourist ask for ketchup for their hot dog, they were told to leave. It's also customary to buy extra fies to eat yout tomtom tamale with instead of a fork...
    MMM....I miss home....

One of the funniest scenes in Stooge history.

Personally, I love ketchup on hotdogs, but Larry only brings mustard to the table.

As a kid, I didn't like mustard for some reason, so I put ketchup and sometimes mayo/miracle whip on hot dogs. You can knock it all you want, but it tastes pretty good to me.

As I got older I began to prefer mustard and relish, which is what I generally have when I eat hot dogs today, but every now and then, I squirt a little ketchup on there, too.

    But to each their own.

True, but I'm far from a traditionalist...it's good to mix it up once in a while...

I put on ketchup, a little bit of mustard, and onions.
What I do hate are those squishy, soggy buns. They should be fresh and crunchy, like a freshly baked baguette...
Baguette, oh my goodness...you just took the hot dog to another level...heaven, yeah.

In my neighborhood, we have a French style bakery called La Farine...I go there often. I loved their rustic baguettes...but I also love their sourdough ones, I mean...this is Northern California after all, the home of sourdough...

Just love that stuff as is...I make a sandwich out of it sometimes, or simply with just some butter, with some coffee or hot chocolate, it's all good...

I'll also go with a good chili cheese dog from time-to-time.

As a kid, I liked mine with mustard, ketchup, and onions. At some point in my adult life, the ketchup just became too sweet for me to really enjoy on a hot dog. At that point, I pretty much switched to just mustard and onions. Or, just mustard. Or, heck, just a plain hot dog. OK, fine, 8 plain hot dogs that have only been partially defrosted after sitting in a pot of cold water in the sink for a couple hours. Yeah, I'll admit it, I drink the hot dog water, too. I even made popsicles out of the hot dog water. Hey, kids like popsicles. Kid like hot dogs. What kid wouldn't like a good hot dog water popsicle?

Good God, what have I become????????
    Odd, weird, and strange?

It also depends on the hot dog itself too.

If i'm eating a Ballpark or Bar-S dog I need to load it up with as much garbage as possible to cover the generic balonie taste.

Now when I treat myself and buy homemade hot dogs from my Polish Deli I eat them with nothing.

Applegate are the hot dogs we buy...lower in fat too, plus they taste just like a Natham's, I kid you not...
