The Most Talented Person I Know

Every day I get an email sketch from Pascal Campion. He's an animation artist I've worked with a few times on jobs. In addition to all the work he does he generates a "sketch" every day. A sketch to me and a sketch to him are on two entirely different levels. Each day I am inspired and a little depressed by the energy, wit, amazing composition and color. Today's just blew me away. It would have taken me a year to even think of everything that's happening here.

    wow!

Wonderful, thanks for posting. I think the guy twirling the monkey by the tail is my favorite bit.

Scott, I have checked out some of your work (I don't just mean the museum cards) and think you are very talented, by the way.

My wife is home every day with my 2 year old twin boys and trust me when I say they ARE a handful! These guys never stop and its 100 MPH all day.

The way she makes it look so easy inspires me. (maybe I'll show her this posting and score some brownie points).

Wow, why isn't Pascal Campion as famous as Sergio Aragones? He should be.

At the risk of being a total brown-nose, I am constantly amazed at Brian Heiler's ability to keep eight million low- or no-paying toy/web/writing projects going at once, all at a consistent level of accuracy, wit, quality and fun.

This person reminds me of Charles Schulz.

I remember seeing some of his doodles while reading his biography and the amount of drawings that he would complete in the matter of minutes that would take most of us days was astounding.

holy passover, moses! WOW!!!!!!! i want that 'sketch' on my wall!

i'm inspired all over the place, to tell the truth....i find it in works of art, in books, in amazing things that people i know and love do, by strangers doing loving things, by the kindness of people here on the boards. . . .

Thank you, Monkey Tennis! Gosh! I am flattered!!

These are some of the people that inspire me: Mark Pellien for all of the ape goodness he produces, Adam Odell for his wonderful photographs and dioramas of the Planet of the Apes...

I don't know this person, but I admire his work. Please check out his Bruce Lee pages. How does Arnie Kim do that? That's what I want to know!! Wish I could read what it says, but the photos are super eye candy...and to think these are 1/6 scale...

                    He's awesome!

I consider myself an amateur cartoonist...and I have submitted stuff but never sold anything.

I'm working on another one...I'll keep trying until I die, lol.

But that dude is soooooooo superior to me, it's not even funny.

                    BTW, you mingle with Illustrator?

I'm getting pretty decent at it.
