I found a wallet today

Way back when I was 22 and working in a hospital I found a wallet on a bench outside Emergency with $352 in it. Just the night before I'd had a terse conversation with my landlord because I was precisely $352 behind in the rent. So this is a test, right?
I handed the wallet in to the front desk with the money intact and the woman at the desk suggested I write my details down in case there was a reward. Never heard a thing from them.
For years my tale was one of a lesson learned, and from that point onwards any money in found wallets would be taken before I returned the wallet anonymously. Until...
About 25 years later I was telling a slightly dodgy friend the story, and without hesitation he said "The women behind the front desk took the money and framed you". Well you could have knocked me down with a feather. In 25 years that had never even occurred to me. Takes a dishonest mind I guess...
A couple of years ago I found $50 on the floor in the supermarket. There was no-one around. I could have handed it to a checkout person, but in all likelihood it would have ended up in their pocket. So it stayed in mine.
Today I'd hand a found wallet back intact, but there was a 25 year period...Even My Henchmen Think I'm Crazy.Comment
