Itunes question -Cant fit 148MB on a CDr 700mb why? Please help

Hi

Does anybody know why I cant fit/burn 56 mins 148MB on a CDr which is 700mb 80 mins? All my songs are in a playlist that i created. Songs are all MP3

How are you burning that? as a playable CD? or just a MP3 disc, I've found depending on the quality of the file I was getting 40 - 45 mins on a CD-R as a playable CD

Thanks for responding. Trying to burn CD-R as playable. I just tried it again, i removed some songs/tracks. It wont even let me put 36 mins 86mb on 1 cd-r. I'm using the same cd-r's I always used Memorex CD-R 40x 700mb 80 min.

Memorex are the worst CD/DVD recordables on the market. They always have tracking errors. Might want to try verbatim or sony. Never had a problem with those.

Yeah but the odd thing is that up until a few days ago I didnt have this issue. The cd-rs in my car have 16-18 tracks burned on them. Some CD-rs run as long as 1 hr 13 mins. All are memorex.

I didnt change anything as far as itunes goes.
