Emmys Memorium Snub Yvonne and Piper

Yvonne Craig. Roddy Piper, Meredith Whitney?

I sort of get passing on Christioher Lee as he was a mega movie star. But the above three? Good lord. You could argue Whitney was on,y big in Trek circles, fine, but Craig and Piper they defining characters of their era.

I can usually time it to catch the Memorium, but thank god I missed it this year.

Alton "Ben" Powers, Christopher Lee and Yvonne Craig were among the notables not included in the ceremony's video segment.

He was the last image they showed, IIRC.

Piper wouldn't have made sense being mentioned at the Emmys. He was in only one theatrically released low budget Carpenter movie, he was not a great actor (great "performer" though)..and 99% of his TV work was in wrestling shows...not exactly something considered a true TV show nor praised by critics.

But Craig should've been mentioned...agreed on that.

Okay, excuse my ignorance...I read that link...I didn't know Piper was on many TV shows, mostly guest starring, but he was active in TV land...so my bad...so then, yes...he should've been mentioned too.

Yeah, that actor from Good Times.

As far as Christopher Lee, well, he was mostly a film actor...but he was a big name who occasionally did some TV work here and there...so yes, he should've mentioned too.

I felt Piper should have been included because without him, you really have no MTV. They were an oddity before the Albano/Lauper tie-in brought Piper and Hogan over. Cab,e owes its life to pro wrestling. WWF built USA and MTV, NWA/WCW built TBS and TNT.

I never said I didn't like They Live...I just mentioned it was a low budget film...which it was...

Having said that...the back alley fight between Piper and that black guy (I forgot his name)...is just goes, and goes, and goes, and then it drags, and drags, and drags...forever...and ever...I think that fight alone is half of the damn bloody movie...
