    Fan Expo Toronto Pics

I'm back from Fan Expo and I got to say it was a lot of fun! The crowds weren't too bad and everything moved along pretty well. Here's a few pics we took on the last day of the show. I got to meet Neve Campbell who was super, super nice to me, Billy Dee Williams who was also very cool to us, Norman Reedus also very cool and Kenny Hotz from Kenny vs Spenny the funniest Canadian TV show ever made! And of course the highlight of the weekend was seeing my buddy Ed! Who was being an awesome dude sketching drawings for practically everyone at the convention! We are going back next year for sure we had a great time!

Glad you had a good time, I flirted with attending on Sunday but that heat stopped me right in my tracks.

It wasn't too bad inside heat wise usually I'm very sweaty, we got out of the building and began walking to the parking garage and holy crap was it hot!

Yeah I seen a while back she was doing conventions, she didn't have much of a line-up Sunday no wait at all to get her autograph.

Glad you had a good first time there Dana! How was the traffic in and out of Toronto? That plus that terrible oppressive heat this past weekend kept me away. I've heard some online grumbling from vendors complaining about this show being moved to a holiday weekend. I'm not sure why they did that. And wow, Neve still looks great!

The traffic coming in was no problem at all and no problem getting decent parking, going out just to the on ramp 2 blocks away was an absolute mess. The Jays game ended the same time as the convention so that added 40 thousand extra people to the mix trying to get out, they really need cops down there directing traffic after a game or big event downtown. Once I got on the highway it was pretty quick back home on the QEW...I don't think this was a buying crowd at least on Sunday I didn't see people buying shirts or Funkos or comics really. I think people's money went towards the photo ops and autographs, I seen people with multiple photo op pictures with different celebs.

Oh yeah Neve was very awesome to meet I almost jumped when she put her arm around me

To be frank, I don't find fanexpo a big buying experience at all. What vintage I saw there was three times the price of a smaller show and all the modern stuff, I can get by visiting those stores. All the shops in my area set up booths there, so i'm looking at the same Funko reaction I saw last week.

The only thing I bought was a DVD (from someone I knew) and a couple of autographs.

It might be different if I was into original art or sketches, 'cause then it's probably a mecca.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever bought any toys there, certainly not any vintage. I've gotten some good deals on DVDs and comics/books over the years though.

As always, had a wonderful time. Craziest weekend of the year. I'm still recovering from four days of non-stop sketching!

Thanks so much for popping by to see me Dana. So many friendly and familiar faces at Fan Expo... always a highlight. Only wish I wasn't chained to my table all weekend so I could have more time to hang out and chat. On the other hand, the benefit of a table is that it's a refuge from the crowds!

LOVED my location this time. High traffic corner of artist alley in close proximity to the food court.

                          Pretty cool!

Hey, that guy looks so like Leonard Nimoy, it's scary...in a good way, lol.

Neve Campbell, you lucky dog, ha.

I assume that's your wife with Walking Dead's Norman "Daryl" Reedus...awesome...

Yeah I thought you had an awesome spot right on the corner like that! The room you guys were in had so much cool stuff going on it there it was insane.

Hector - no sir that's my girlfriend with Norman Reedus, that Spock guy not only looks like Nimoy he sounds like him too!! Only difference is this guy was like 7 feet tall.
