Jean Darling -- "Our Gang" RIP

One of the last of the original "Our Gang" kids passed away -- Jean Darling, age 93! As a massive fan of Our Gang (later known as The Little Rascals), those are some classic film shorts by Hal Roach. Jean was in 46 silent short films and 6 talkies. Those are simply timeless films made by some incredible child actors. When the movie version came out many, many decades later in 1994, the film, entitled "The Little Rascals," I believe one movie critic said it best, in short, he said while the film was okay, one thing Hollywood could not capture in the film: innocence. The films made back then clearly featured kids who not only lived in much simpler times, but over-flowed with innocence with nary a care in the world (much different, of course, than today). She will be missed -- but the memories will never fade.

yeah I read about this earlier today. very sad, but then she was 93 and had a good long life. RIP and thanks for the memories

I had no clue she had written so many stories. I used to love Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine where she was published and I suspect I read many of them.
