    RIP, Alison Parker(WDBJ-TV News)

Prayers and condolences go out to the families, friends, and colleagues of Alison Parker and the cameraman who were killed on air yesterday I personally don't blame other TV news personalities, especially field reporters for possibly being on edge right now. News reporting is not an easy gig.

I hope these killings stop! All lives matter. I found it sad that a dentist killing a lion lit up social media with outrage and this tragedy hasn't from what I've seen thus far.
Just very sad. My thoughts with those affected.

What a tragedy. I think the added insult to this senseless violence is that the media gave this monster the platform he sought, which means it begs for copycats. He didn't deserve to have his complaints aired nor to have his life propped up for public consideration. Even his own family made no mention of him when they released a written statement to the media. A very sad story of two beautiful lives lost to someone who didn't find value in his own.

Such a tragedy. After Mego Meet 10 I took my family to Smith Mountain Lake for a vacation. I'm not sure why, but it feels weird to have stood exactly where all of that took place.

Agree with all of the above sentiments. When I heard the news, late yesterday morning, it stopped me in my tracks, for a few hours.

May they rest in peace. And, may their families find some comfort.

It's funny you never hear a story about a handgun actually protecting somebody

Man, this was really, really horrific. I hate to say that I watched the POV of the shooting that was released and it was disturbing. I don't know how they didn't see the guy coming up, not that any of that matters now. Sad stuff.

If I can speak my piece of the subject. There are dangerous mentally ill people out there, this could have happened almost anywhere. You can't live your life in life in fear. I'm not going to say "the everything happens for a reason." crap because that would be offensive to all the tragic events in human history. Just treat people fairly and do your best. Bad things happen to good and bad people alike.
