I went into work today at 6 a.m., had a good day, around 1:20 we had a soccer game which lasted about 3 hours. We freakin lost. I was in the sun running up and down the sidelines yelling encouragement. The sun was brutal. Well I got home about 6 and sat on my couch. Next thing I know it's 8:15. I didn't realize I was soo exhausted until I hit that couch. I gotta bring more fluids with me to next week's game. I also have a sunburn for my efforts but you know what, I have the greatest job anyone can have. I teach what I love (history) and coach what I love(football and soccer). I also help some pretty great kids become young men and women. Ya, I was dead tired but I would not trade it for a million bucks or all the megos in the world.

Get some rest, Coach. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
Fluids, dude! We're getting up in the 70's and we're gonna hit 80 here in OK on the weekend. I've already started some yardwork. Easy to get dehydrated. Glad school's going well for you!

I coach soccer too and I hydrate myself as if I were going to be playing. Before every practice and game, I drink a liter or two of water and bring a liter to drink during the game.
The sun can be really brutal even if you're not doing all the running."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
