My Back to the Future Cake

My daughter watched the Back to the Future movies for the first time this year, and loved them, so for her birthday, I made her this cake. I think the ReAction figures of Doc and Marty helped sell it. The Road (where we're going, we don't need… roads) is chocolate chip cookie cake, and the Delorean is a car cake mold covered in dyed fondant. I scanned the details like the front and rear bumpers and had the local supermarket print them on edible decal for me, same with the logo, which I iced onto a hand cut cookie. I had extra cake leftover so I added a clock tower for fun.

Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate the compliments. The BTTF cake was for our Family party yesterday. Three days prior, I had made her a cake of her new puppy. Needless to say, I am caked out!



Incidentally, I can trace my interest in cake decorating back to an article in an old issue of Dynamite magazine (remember that?) that showed a cake decorator making Count Morbida. I was fascinated.
