With great cake comes great responsibility.
UK couple Kia Parsons and Billy Bunning came to the perfect compromise over their wedding cake. While Parsons had her heart set on something traditional, her fiancé was hoping for something a little more fun to represent his love of superheroes.
Their solution was a stunning cake that is all flowers and lace in the front and a marriage of Marvel and DC Comics heroes in the back.

While most people think of cake in terms of flavor, the real beauty of this cake is all in the details. The prim, white frosting gets pulled back like a cape, revealing some of comic books' most noble vigilantes like Captain America, Spider-Man, Batman and Ironman.
The cake was created by Julia Baker of Tier by Tier cake design in Milton Keynes, England. According to the Huffington Post UK, the entire confection took 40 hours to create — spending 12 hours creating the intricate flower design and 28 on baking and building.
Parsons and Bunning got married on Aug. 14. It almost seems sad to cut up such a beautiful masterpiece — but no one can say no to free cake.
