What are your favorite sitcoms from the 70's?

70's television really gave birth to some great sitcoms. Just wondering what shows, outside of the action/adventure variety, were staples in your home during the 70's?
    Here's my top ten:

    1) All in the Family
    2) Sanford & Son
    3) Welcome back Kotter
    4) Happy Days
    5) WKRP in Cincinnati
    6) MASH
    7) Chico and the Man
    8) Bob Newhart show
    9) Mork & Mindy
    10) Love American Style

The only one we ever really watched was Three's Company. My dad controlled the TV and he didn't like sitcoms.

I dig all the "black" shows of the era, Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times, What's Happening, etc, ha.

But the one my sister and I religiously watched together was Three's Company.

As the stand alone show for just me would be Happy Days. My sister's favorite stand alone show was The Partridge Family, mainly because she had a crush on David Cassidy, lol.

Holy crap, Mike, thanks for mentioning Taxi...since it went into the early 80s...I tend to bypass it on 70s lists, but it did start in 1978...and Id have to list that as my favorite official 70s comedy show, no doubt, I love Taxi.

I'm with Hector and most of the shows I enjoyed as a kid were "black" shows

Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times. I actually wanted to grow up to be Red Foxx when I was a kid. Good Times was my favorite without a doubt.

A lot of the shows mentioned I watched back then but I don't have any interest in them now. Sitcoms from the '70s that I still watch are

                        1. Sanford And Son
                        2. All In The Family-especially the first three years
                        3. WKRP In Cincinatti
                        4. What's Happening!

Bob Newhart is at the top of the pile for me. Tried to watch some Mork lately and it doesn't hold up that well.

One thing that bugs me is the laughter (canned or live) seems awfully loud and annoying on some shows where it hasn't bothered me before -- Specifically most Garry Marshal shows

I dunno if I was more tolerant as a kid or they turned it up on recent showing

Mork and Laverne and Shirley are prime examples
