Had the pleasure of seeing him 6 times and not once did I go away disappointed. He's also one of the old musicians/rock icons/legends that has made peace with everyone he's ever worked with. I don't think I can name any artist that has ever done that. I'd like to see him once more before he officially hangs up his guitar for good.

I agree that Clapton is outstanding and I really like/love much of his work. In saying that, is it crazy for me to really love "Lay Down Sally" and "Promises?" I can't help but to love both of those tunes.

It's not crazy at all. They are both great songs...but it's a testament to Clapton's career. He's done literally every form of music. I have to find the album he did with JJ Cale recently. I think it's called 'Road To Escondido'. I would tell anyone that hasn't seen him...if he's still touring DO NOT miss him.
