Back in his day he was a tough son-of-a-gun and I always enjoyed him on MNF. In the end he was looking pretty bad, beyond his actual age. I'm sure those years of not so many rules and little protective gear in the NFL caught up to him. RIP Mr. Gifford. -
Wow, RIP
I remembered watching this recently. Great Evel video and Gifford interviewing. FF to 5:30 and 8:53 for clips of Gifford and Evel Kneivel.
Another great clip from 1971 Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell, Don Meridith and Joe Namith.

Prayers and condolences go out to Mr. Gifford's family, friends, and fans. On a side note, one of his former teammates was originally from my hometown of Poulsbo, WA.Comment

Even I, a non-lover of football, knows about Frank Gifford. And yes, it's sad that the NFL has lost such an iconic figure. RIP Frank."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment
