I finished watching this tonight, thought it was awesome! Considering the limited amount of time they had to work with some of the busier actors (I think Bradley Cooper was only available for one day, which necessitated the appearance of "DJ Ski Mask" in some scenes!) it came together better than the Netflix season of Arrested Development, which had the same issues with actor availability. And although the passing of 15 years really showed with some of the actors (which somehow made them portraying teenagers even funnier), Elizabeth Banks still looks amazing, just as good or even better than she did in the original film!

Off to watch the making of now. I was letting the credits roll on the last episode and as they were going through all the credits for the foreign language dubbing voice actors for the other various Netflix regions, I noticed Japanese credits (Netflix will be making it's debut there this fall). I can't even imagine how the comedy of this would even begin to translate for Japanese viewers, I have a hard time believing it would even be possible!Comment

Just finished the new series, then blew through the original movie and making of. Enjoyed all of it, but I think the new show is funnier. Between the crazy cliffhangers, most of the cast now being in their forties and still playing teenagers, the addition of the Rich "preppy" camp rivalry trope, and addition of even more funny folks like John Hamm, Michael Cera, and Kristen Wiig, it's really firing on all cylinders. Everyone in the cast really is at the top of their comedy game right now. Cameos galore.
