yeh a few of her songs were written for her by the beatles.i didn't realize the girls didn't go down as well as the bands in the u.s. we had dusty,lulu, sandy,i think the u.s. equivelant would be maybe cher or dionne warwick

Very sad to hear, I knew her more as a tv presenter, she hosted a tv show called "blind date" in the Uk, which went on from the 80's to the 90's
