Has anyone seen Atari : Game Over
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

I'd love to see a bigger documentary made from this because there really is a bigger story behind what was in this documentary. It really is the leading edge of the advances of tech. Precursor to Apple and companies of that sort. This would be a kickstarter that I would be interested in going in on...a full blown documentary on Atari which the surface is barely scratched in the documentary."When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

Just found this on Netflix last night and watched it with my son, hence the resurrected thread here. A funny but surprisingly touching film.
Having owned the E.T. game as a kid, I have to say, yes, it WAS that bad. But now I know why. The commentators at the end were right. It wasn't the designer's fault, it was greedy upper management desperately reaching beyond their grasp.

saw it when it first hit netflix and found it fascinating
and yeah, I agree, I HATED the ET game as a kid and found it completely frustrating and unplayable.Comment
