Roddy Piper dead at 61

I happened to be wearing my THEY LIVE t shirt yesterday when I heard the news. I met him at a convention about 10 years ago and I regretted not getting a photo with him. I was hoping he would come back to one of the cons and I could finally get my photo. 61 is way too young.

Very sad to hear this news. I used to be a wrestling fan back in the 80's and he was hand's down my favorite wrestler and always will be.

I loved Piper. His podcast got me through alot of long work days. He marched to a different beat, and is what modern day wrestling is missing. RIP to the greatest heel of all time.

I got the WWE network as a Fathers Day present from my wife and daughter, I haven't changed the channel in a couple months.
Every morning I watch "Legends House" while drinking my morning coffee. The show is admittedly pretty friggin horrible. But Pipers on it, so I watch. It's been really refreshing to see him out of character just being himself. I was a fan and I'm going to miss seeing him, he still had a lot to offer.

The evils of pro wrestling caught up to Roddy...nice guy...tough business.

As you probably remember Roddy's first big push was his heel run in the LA territory when he feuded with Chavo and the Guerreros.

He was awesome all-around. One of the all-time greats and a super nice guy. Just saw him in April which makes this extra shocking to me.

Hope they give a proper tribute tonight on RAW. They did a great job remembering Dusty Rhodes and Piper is one of WWE's top 3 icons of all time.
