    Moving Sucks!!!!

Just had to say that, get it off my chest!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for the RANT!!!

We maybe homeless tonight. We are closing, on our house we are selling, today in a couple hour. We learned late Friday afternoon, we may not close until tomorrow, on the house we are buying. We were supposed to close today at 3pm. Now we have a truck full of furniture (plus stuff not loaded) and no place to go. We are hoping if we do not close today, the buyer of our house gives us until tomorrow (but legally he doesn't have to).

    Serenity Now!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain. Even the good moves suck.

I've done 3 moves in the last 4 years so i feel your pain.

However, with your good karma, I'm sure you'll probably find an attic full of MIB Megos when you move in to your new house.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Good luck to you. I hate moving and packing...and then unpacking when you are finally moved out. Thinking of it tires me out.

Actually, it is a newly built house, but the builder did find a handgun in the attic last week while working on our punch list (left by a construction hand most likely).

Another reason for me to hate people from New Orleans (sorry Shane, not you )!!!

Thanks to the refugees from Katrina three years ago, I am homeless, awaiting for approval to close on my new house. Besides coming up here and making our crime rate skyrocket, traffic the worst in the country, they also made getting an underwriter to sign off on a loan next to impossible because of all the foreclosures in this area, left by the refugees when they moved back to New Orleans.

We have no idea when we are closing, Thursday is a maybe. We have until 5pm Wednesday to be out of our old house. I have a POD (that was scheduled to be delivered tomorrow) and a moving truck full of my stuff, and now I will have to go rent another to put the rest of my stuff in because I have no place to empty the truck (unless I feel like moving it to storage and repacking it again).

I'd welcome a regular move after our last forced one. No electricity, standing water on the floor, mold beginning to grow on the walls.

I understand these people being forced out due to a storm, but what they did when they were here and when they left, having no regards for others. I am sure you didn't do that. You hear nothing like this coming out of the Miss Gulf Coast, because they did it correctly, rebuilding correctly, not waiting for a government hand out.

^^^ Or FLA, our local and state officials had it together, and didn't rely on FEMA to get here to help. We got nailed directly by 3 hurricanes in 2004, and you'd barely know it now.

Same thing with Miss Gulf Coast. There were alot of houses wiped out, but they have cleaned the place up, rebuilding.

The only way visitors at work can tell is by some of the oaks still showing damage and stress and a lot of headless sable palms.
