When you are a celebrity, you gotta be careful what you say in public...someone like Hogan, who was about vitamins, prayers, patriot, etc...a hero of countless kids...you have to keep and maintain a certain image...that's his bread and butter. He said something inappropriate a couple of years ago...and it came back to haunt him.

^Problem is, this wasn't said in public. It was said in private. It was a private family matter and like it or not, people are entitled to their own personal opinions and yes, even bias as long as they don't infringe on someone else's rights.

I think it's a pretty sad world we live in where you can't even voice an opinion about something in your own home...without being crucified for it. It'll eventually get to the point where your employer will be able to monitor you 24/7 and if you make even the slightest unflattering remark about them at your own dinner table, they'll be able to fire you.

naw you have to be smarter then that..You have to know that people are out there who would do anything to make a buck and would'nt think twice about destroying your life. I careless if he says it 1000 times a day in house.. but if it gets out, you know the s**t's gonna hit the fan. Like it or not he just lost pretty much his last real paycheck..I bet his ex comes out and says he's been a racist all of his life

Funny how this came out magically when he's suing Gawker.

I hear WWE took him out of the Hall of Fame. That just isnt right. He was never a wrestler of the caliber of Flair or Steamboat, but he was THE top draw for many years. Just end it with his contract.

Vince McMahon and anyone associated with the WWF should be the last organization to hold anyone to a high(er) standard.

Two words "public company". When you're answering to shareholders, this is what happens. The thing about all this is, he should have left well enough alone. If he wins the case he won't get $100 million because Gawker doesn't have the assets.
If he loses, even worse. He's effectively ended his career and lost out more money and than he would realistically get from Gawker.

Yet those same shareholders have been fine with McMahon and his cronies like Pat Patterson degrading, exploiting and humiliating women and men of all races.

Pat Patterson propositioned wrestlers in the locker room and when they refused, he purposefully held them back. He still works for the company.

I'm not defending Hogan but he said this 8 years ago. He wasn't on the air, he wasn't cutting a promo.
