    Any other second-shifters out there?

Howdy folks. I'm typing this as many people (at least in the Eastern Time Zone) are either getting to hit the hay or are already spending time with the Sandman...

Just wondering if any fellow MEGOheads out there who work a second shift schedule. I've been at it since early April my particular physiology still hasn't completely adjusted to. If you ARE second shifter, I'd love to hear from you and see what your schedules are.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Well maybe not a second shifter, but I do security in a nightclub starting from 10 in the evening on thursday, and finish on monday at 10 in the morning, of coarse with breaks inbetween, but I do 15 h shifts for friday and saturday. I dont mind it, U get the hours out of the way and earn some easy cash. Come monday morning , U see all the dull faces starting thier week, while U come home, have a shower, crack a few beers open, whack a cheesey film on, and completely wind down I only do this for 5 months of the year.

I worked 18 hour days for three years straight.
Doing my regular job (which included a total of 4 hours commuting), and running a collectibles store/mail order.
Came home, collapsed for six hours, and then back to work.
      I wouldn't advise that schedule...

For 18 years now I have worked a 4 days on then 4 days off schedule. I work very long hours as I drive a fuel tanker truck. A typical day is up at 3 am and home around 7 pm . It's not easy but the 4 days off is really nice.

DId 3rd shift from 11pm till 7am (and sometimes ot till 8am-3pm!) did it for 16 months, almost had a heart attack, the human body (or I should say mine) is not meant for Nocturnal employment.

I've always said 2nd shift is great for young adults because they can sleep in and also get out in time to party or hangout with their friends. But its also the worse for people who have kids. You're never around to see them.

I used to I worked nights for years 6pm-6am ,7 days on 7 days off.
Now I'm up at 5am to work at 6 and finish at 6 pm 5 days on 5 days off.
Unless I do overtime then I work until 11pm

I work at a tv news station from 3:30 pm to 11:45 pm. It is great because I can sleep in every day but I miss being able to do things after work.
