Happy Birthday - Olivia De Havilland: 99!!

Wow! I almost forgot she was still alive! Melanie, from "Gone with the Wind," is 99 today! To say she is about the last one left from the "golden age of Hollywood," would be an under-statement! As far as "Gone with the Wind" goes, she is only one of two cast members left from the classic 1939 film (the other is Mickey Kuhn).

I always loved De Havilland. Her performance in "Snake Pit" was great! She was very deserving of her two Academy Awards.

I think the movie critic Leonard Maltin stated it perfectly about "Gone with the Wind." "If not the greatest American film ever made, certainly the greatest example of story-telling ever made."

Ever seen it on the Big Screen?. It goes to another whole level. They show it at a Local classic theater once in a while.

She made some really cool movies with Errol Flynn, one of the most beautiful woman during the golden age
of Hollywood, I believe she now lives in Paris. Happy 99th birthday!!!

I think Encore Westerns should do a six gun salute to her!
She was serious 'babe' material in some Great Westerns they run.
