Is this physically possible...or is somebody lying?

So, my wife and I are watching Wheel of Fortune last night...and one of the contestants was an extremely obese woman. She HAD to weigh 300 to 350. As they're making their introductions, she tells Pat Sajak that she's been a kickboxer for 17 years and a trapeze artist. We thought she was kidding...but no, she was totally serious.

My wife and I were both like WHAAAA? Now, neither one of us are thin by any means, but we were cracking up at this lady. I just don't see how she could possibly be a kickboxer, let alone go flying around on a trapeze.
She was huffing and puffing just spinning the wheel! We both think she was shoveling some MAJOR BS.

    What do you think?

Many fat people can do amazing things, they just don't have the stamina of thinner people.

The trapeze sounds a bit far fetched though because it relies on supporting your own weight with your arms.

I don't particularly love this topic but I once sparred with a much heavier set black belt, people are capable of amazing things.

You also don't know if she's been put on anti depressants or steroids which cause rapid weight gain. I know somebody who was a tennis pro all his life who, thanks to medication, now looks like Newman from Seinfeld.

Believe me Brian, I'm not trying to offend. I weigh 320 myself. I couldn't swing on a trapeze if my life depended on it and I'm pretty freaking strong.

I understood that the intent wasn't hateful but these things tend to get derided sometimes. Just wanted to throw that in there. I'm not built for trapeze work myself, I barely grasp stairs. Kick boxing I can see.

LOL...I'm no elephant, but I have been described as being physically similar to a large gorilla. And I must admit I do like bananas.

It's no different that many of the boasts, claims, beliefs or comments I've read on here that are hard to believe but could very well be very true. I just give people the benefit of doubt and never give it a second thought.

Why are fat people always buried in piano cases ?

Me personally, i'd much rather be buried in an old refrigerator box ---

She might not always have been that big. She could have a disease like polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition that often leads to excessive weight gain.
