Tom & Jerry Meet Jonny Quest

I had no idea this was coming out!

These Tom & Jerry movies are usually pretty good. My kids like 'em. Throw in Jonny Quest, and it should be fun.

Cartoon Network will probably air this in a few months, so I'll probably check it out then. They seem to do that with the Scooby-Doo and T&J animated films a few months after their DVD release.

Uh.....no. It's almost like 2 parallel stories competing for the viewer's attention. I'll watch Tom and Jerry, OR Jonny Quest. But simultaneously? Nope.

Yeah, I agree with HardyGirl...this totally jumps the shark. I like my Jonny Quest serious. Mixing two completely different genres doesn't work for me.

It will help keep Jonny Quest alive and get young kids interested in the property. How is this any different than Scooby-Doo meeting Batman and Robin?

By the way, the Scooby gang just met Jonny and company in the Scooby-Doo Team-Up comic.

The first iteration of Superfriends established a goofy tone right off the bat with Wendy, Marvin and Wonderdog, so throwing Scooby Doo in the mix wasn't really a stretch.

Jonny Quest was a VERY realistic series, and the world of Tom & Jerry just doesn't fit into it at all. It's completely out of place and dilutes the brand.

Jonny Quest is so incredible on it's own, it doesn't need Tom & Jerry to help sell it to kids.

Tom and Jerry is much more slapstick than Scooby Doo. Sure Shaggy and Scooby have their moments, but usually when they split up and they're separated from the rest of the gang. Tom and Jerry are constant slapstick and they're right there w/ Jonny and Hadji. Again competing w/ each other for the viewers attention.

Plus Scooby Doo and Fred Flintstone each were just teamed up with the WWE.
