    If I passed on early

This may sound a bit morbid but I was wondering if one of you knowledgeable fellows would be kind enough to advise my wife on how to sell my collection If something were to happen to me. It's getting pretty big and worth a little bit (probably about 4 g's on ebay) and my wife would probably get screwed not knowing anything about megos. Beleive me I don't plan on leaving any time soon. You could just advise her on how/value/where to sell my figures. I really trust most of you here and look upon you as friends and trust you to help. Thanks for reading

      If the unthinkable happened ....
I'd advise her to log into the Museum (give her your password now) and get advice one figure at a time from everyone here.
Then she can make her best judgement as what to do with them.
She might sell a few on the Museum, but other's she might think would be better on eBay.

      In short,
Mego Museum would stear her in the right direction as to how to get the best bucks for your stuff.

Ain't that the truth---in this forum is a community that sticks together thru
a good moral code & checks and balances to deal with the "otherwise"

all she needs to know is "megomuseum.com" and maybe a few key names
of regulars on the board---- if ya wanna give her a jump start.

I think it would also be worthwhile to have a Mego price guide or Benjamin Holcomb's book around so she can at least look up the items and get an idea of its value.

I also have a similar situation. My wife has no interest in what I collect whatsoever but if something happened to me, she could liquidate everything I collect and have some decent money.

She knows I have paid a lot for some items and not so much for others but doesn't know one from the other.

I have tried to explain to her the differences but she is disinterested.

I have seriously thought about leaving a letter inside a box where I store some of the collectibles to tell her if she finds the letter and I'm gone, some general instructions on how to liquidate the collection.

Sounds morbid, but there are some things that you really can't spell out in a will.

I agree with let you wife in on the hobby. Me, I have 2 of my four kids who are also really into the hobby. Ive already talked with them about what alot of my stuff is worth. At least my wife knows what stuff isnt garage sale fodder.

Also invest is some price guides. I have a big collection of old Lee's, Tomarts and Toys fares along with some "Official guides" I know that my wife and kids could go back and look up any info they might need.

And Adam West is right leave a letter in a safe or security box with directions that anybody could follow....Man isnt this scary that we baby boomers must all start planning for the trip to the great beyond.

Actually I tease my wife saying I want to be buried with all my posessions like a Pharohs tomb or a Viking chiefs long boat burial mound.

I can see my stuff being unearthed centuries later and ending up in a museum.

I think Mike hit the nail on the head.

Make sure your wife knows your museum password. So if something does happen to you she can come to the community for help.

I'm going to make sure my wife knows how to get on here, in case of my untimely passing. I don't think she will want to sell me Megos, but if she needs the money I want them to be the first things to go to help provide for my family

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

the hell with that,I told my wife to let me go in my Warrior singlet

If I have kids I'd want them to keep my stuff, but I told her to make sure to give my brother what ever he wants first
