This episode focuses on TV in the 70's. I'm pretty psyched about that because TV was a big part of my 70's.

I say my 70's because I really was not in touch with so much that played huge parts of the 70's. I was a kid, so the 70's, for me, were about toys, school, clothes, music and summers that lasted forever. Politics, world events, social trends, etc., really didn't get much of my attention until later in the decade.

I liked it but I thought it was a hour to short. Its very condensed. Next week is Nixon but I wish they had saved that for later. There should be one for music and thats the one I'm most looking forward to. Really would like to see a series that goes deeper into the decade.

I liked CNN when they used to be the Cable News Network

The channel has lost its way without Ted Turner. Its the same with all his former stations.

Right now it's Friday night and there's nothing on TV

When this happens I usually look for cable news to entertain me.

Right now my choice is ---- MSNBC (lock-up crap) --- CNN (Anthony Burdain borefest) --- or Faux News

                  What the heck ?

Any correct TV special on the 70's would portray the most important "threes" in these spheres:
Pop Music: Pink Floyd, KISS, and the Bee Gees.
Country Music: Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Conway Twitty.
Sports: Jimmy Connors, Mark Spitz, and Terry Bradshaw.
Politics: For good or bad reasons Nixon, Jimmy Carter, and Leonid Brezhnev.
Movies: Jaws, Saturday Night Fever, and Star wars (although I always liked the Empire strikes back better).
There's more of course. I'll wait to watch the show when online. The 70's were one of the most interesting decades ever.

I enjoyed the first episode and am looking forward to the upcoming episodes. However, I agree that it was about an hour short.
