    Any bird experts out there?

This beautiful bird has been visiting our Condo Complex for the last 3 days. I shared some pics of it with our neighbors but I want to find out what type of bird it is. My wife found this site for identifying birds:

After plugging in the information, it came up with Cedar Waxwing and Phainopepla. Neither match the pics I took. Please take a look and let me know what you think it might be.

Wow, that is a beautiful bird! Funny how birds will hang around an area for a short length of time and then disappear. Even if there is lots of food and water.

That's a very cool looking bird. I've been thinking of taking up "birding" as a hobby for a while now, just waiting until I can get a really good camera. I just watched a pretty funny movie on Netflix called "big year" with Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson about competitive bird watching. Not hilarious but very amusing.

My Father-in-Law moved to Prescott, Az. When my wife and I went for our first visit, I noticed he had set up bird feeders and was getting a large variety of customers. I found this very interesting, so before we left, he and I went to his bird supply store. I picked up a beautiful hand-blown glass Humming Bird feeder and a Seed Feeder with a light sensor that allows for dinner reservations. Needless to say, I quickly gained a clientele back in Pasadena.

            Common Finches

            House Finches

            Gold Finches

            Black-headed Grosbeak

            and the ever elusive Titmouse

Life was wonderful for a while, until we realized that the birdies were messy eaters and many of the seeds made their way to our balcony ground. Unfortunately, this provided a course for the uninvited creatures of the night. Turns out the wife doesn't like it when she plans a Dinner Party and a white rat with pink eyes runs across the balcony rail during the middle of it. The Seed Feeder went into storage after that. Humming Birds have no worries.

Yeah, I had the same issue with the rats from feeding the birds at work. I made a feeder for the hood of my car so they can eat during the day. Funny during times where there are a lot of birds that they will jump up on the hood and run up to the window to let me know they want to be fed as soon as I pull into my parking spot.

That's a great looking bird, California pretty much has just about any kind of birds rare or not,
I finally got to see an Oriole up close, really very cool looking, hardly see those around my neck
of the woods, but we do have plenty of those darn crows, all they do is squak and use your car
                  for target practice.

No question, the migratory birds of the west are crazy cool. The finches, hummingbirds and swallow species are fascinating every day I encounter them. And there's the countless birds of prey; just awesome.

But big love to the mighty Crow population of Ohio…*cagey smart, tool-using, judgmental, with a wicked sense of humor and taste for Italian food. Oh yeah!
