    What do you hate?

I''m a pretty mellow guy ,life is usually good and not much gets me in a mood. But it seems that the things that do ,happen more and more often.First people that stop on yellow,I'm not saying race though the intersection to beat the light, just don't set there stopped wating it change, some of us have places to go.Second are the people that call my answering machine and don't leave a message,These people don't just hang up when the machine picks up the call they wait for the message to finish those leaving that little red light flashing. If you can take the time to call, leave a message.Third is stupid people in general, but that is pretty basic,so WHAT GETS YOU ANGRY?

OH yeah, stupid people for sure. We all make silly mistakes but there seem to be a lot of people that are just plain dumb. I like to refer to them as mouth-breathers. You know, they walk around with their mouths hanging open all the time and that stupid look on their face. Duh.....

I guess if I have to hate anything it would be summed up as "biggoted, egotistical, ignorant people."

I hate it when people drive slow in the fast lane. It totally makes me crazy. They are usually on the phone, too!

Right now, I hate soccer moms.

My girls soccer team suffered a loss to start the season (we were undefeated last season and moved up a division to play more competitively).

This weekend, we are facing the other team that was formed from the same soccer club and it is going to be a bitter rivalry. I have had a couple of run ins with the other coach who also is in charge of the soccer program but mostly over our differences in coaching philosophy. I thought we should have split the girls by skill and place teams in different divisions based on their skills, he insisted on having a draft and since he runs the program what he said goes. So I'm trying to coach a team of one girl that belongs on a club team, about 2 or 3 that belong in division 1, another 2 or 3 in division 2, and the rest in division 3. I've just taken the position of coaching and training them as a division 1 team so the better players feel challenged and encouraging the lesser skilled girls to push outside their comfort zone and play up in a safe environment without any criticism from me.

I aim to develop, he aims to win. I drafted the younger girls who would stay in U-12 age for two years so I could develop them, he picked older girls and strategically places the better players on the field to win games. We knocked them out of the Fall tournament last year and they beat the snot out of us in Indoor season. We lost our first game, they won their first game.

Now I'm hearing through the grapevine that a soccer mom or two feels like we moved up a division too fast even though we were undefeated at the lower level and I believe we would have steam rolled through teams. One even went as far to tell the other coach that they were going to crush us.

My problem with what I call the soccer mom is they have only an elementary knowledge of the game but try to give me coaching points even though I have been playing soccer since I was in Kindergarten and just joined an adult league, have taken numerous advanced soccer coaching classes, and have a pretty advanced knowledge of the game.

Everything is fine when the team wins but suffer a defeat or two and questions start being raised. With a soccer mom, all they care about is winning without regard that their daughter improved ten fold from the start of the season and despite my many attempts to verbalize my philosophy of developing players who possess real skills and enjoy playing over pigeon holing players and playing games in the most tactical way to win games, they only seem to care about the wins.

        That is my current rant.

Potholes. I ride a bicycle and they are actually quite dangerous. San Francisco is incredibly rich and the streets are a joke. The whole country seems to be falling apart physically. If you can't fix the roads you can't do anything.

My mailman, the idiot keeps leaving packages outside my door and doesn't even knock and he checks them as delivered with the tracking #,so if someone passes by my apartment door and takes it(which has happened a few times) I loose it all cause paypal sees the tracking # as delivered.I don't know how many more times I HAVE TO TELL THESE MORONS THE SAME THING!!

Amen to that. I've gotten to the point in my small city where the routes I choose to get to places are based on which have the least potholes. Even if it's not entirely direct.

                        I hate intolerance.

Oh, and people who talk to either their friends, neighbors, and/or the movie screen during movie viewings. "Oh! You'd better not go in there! He's gonna KILL you!", and so forth. Here is a place I find intolerance acceptable. I once had a complete stranger reach over to slap me on the arm during a screening of "The Matrix" and ask "Did you see THAT?" I answered "We're in a darkened theatre seated facing a 40 foot tall white movie screen that is the only lit thing in sight. Yeah, I saw THAT..." The look of confusion on the man's face is a joy I shall take to my dying day.

I'm also not fond of the faux word "whatnot", but I can't say it rises to level of hatred.

I hate people that judge other people by their own personal standards

It's like, WHO suddenly made you god of the universe?

I also hate TV commercials --- especially that SPCA one where the dogs and cats are shown all beat up.
