    Pregnant "man"

Ok. Lets not make this political, or cast moral judgements... but COME ON!!

Seriously. Really now. I don't even know what to say here.

If you are born a woman, then you are a woman

I wonder what the practical affect on the child will be when their mom is unrelated and the father is also the mother. This sounds like it might play well in the appalachians, but in mainstream America the kid is going to be a punching bag in the public eye and at school.

By the way thats no man! If you are born a woman, then you are a woman!!

^Exactly. I am not trying to be judgemental, but if you have a full set of lady-parts then you are in fact female. If you say you want to live as a man, and are trapped in the body of a female, but keep said lady parts because you may want to have children, you are female. You can want to live your life as a Victorian high-back chair, or a giraffe and I'll play along, but the second your maternal instinct comes tearing out of your genetic code... You are female!
So if the media would stop playing along and being PC maybe this story would be less sensational.

When I see stuff like this, my reaction reminds me of Archie Bunker:

(in a thick New York City accent
" Good Night Nurse, I'd never thought I'd see the day where the guy puts the Bun in his oven."

I feel like we're living in some kind of Marvel Universe come to life. The newest members of the X-Men are Pregnant-Man and Two-Faced Boy.

If only I could fall in a vat of hazardous chemicals, get bit by a radioactive spider, or be bombarded with gamma rays... the world might feel a little less strange.

I can only give my opinion based on the article but this person appears to be extremely selfish to me.

Am I the only one not even remotely shocked by this? I guess reading all those old "Ripley's believe it or not" books has prepared me for anything. I find this no stranger than the bearded lady having a child. Or the alligator man etc.

""His wife, Nancy, inseminated him at home with a device she said was like a syringe without the needle. They bought it from a veterinarian and it is typically used to feed birds.""

Someone will have to fill me in on the rest, I got to the part above and couldn't quit laughing long enough to read the rest. Maybe the child will ask how babies are made one day and they can tell him or her all about it.

I hope she at least bought him dinner first... if they split up, I think the veterinarian will have to pay part of the child support!

                        Great. More messed up kids.

BTW, I hate sensationalist media. "Top Stories in the World today, Lyndsay Lohan and Britanny Spears spotted eating at a Waffle House at 3am."
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."

I was wondering if this person uses the men's or women's bathroom in a public place. Next thing we know some lawsuit will occur forcing men's bathrooms to have more stalls and less urinals (and we'll be waiting in long lines at sports games)

If this couple is legally married, would the non-pregnant partner become responsible for child support if they were divorced?

Well, I'll pipe in and say that as a long-time resident of San Francisco I've met a fair number of transexuals and counted a few as friends. People are complex and I'm proud to live in a country where they have the right to pursue happiness.

I understand why it will bother a lot of people, but it doesn't bother me.
