What's on the oldest towel you still use?

In our bath closet is a Rocketeer towel from the movie in 1991, meaning I've been using this threadbare beauty for almost 24 years!

I've got a Snoopy towel in my closet that I used to take with me to the swimming pool and to Florida when I was a kid, which puts it at roughly 42 years old. I don't use it anymore because it is a bit threadbare and the colors have faded quite bit, but you can still see Snoopy in his shorts on a surfboard and, if I give it a good sniff, I could swear I can still smell a little of the ocean in it (which, of course, is all in my head because it was laundered a bazillion times before I retired it for good!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Back when I was a kid in NYC, each member of the family had their own color bath towel. I always had the red and white stripes. (there were 2 of them, and Mom alternated). I even took one of them to camp when I was 11. I still have and use those towels today as hand towels in my bathroom, and the one I took to camp still has my name tag on it!

My Neighbor Totoro, from somewhere around 1995?

But we still have some older (striped) ones from the 80s. If it ain't broke, we keep it...

My uncle worked for Kodak back in the day and still has hundreds of new Kodak beach towels. He gave them away on sales calls, but he must have a room somewhere that is full of them. He breaks out a new round for all of us every season. So, even though they're from the '70s, they are literally brand new.

I've had my Terrible Towel for about 25 years now. Great for drying spilled champagne as well as tears.
