Rachel McAdams is always good but I don't get HBO. The trailer looks better than some movie trailers.

I [purposefully] haven't watched any of the trailers or promos for this season. Really looking forward to it as I love the idea of self-contained, smaller scale stories, featuring new characters each season. I liked the first season, a lot. Yeah, I wasn't super-satisfied with the ending, but it was a solid A-minus show for me. It was intriguing, interesting, and took a number of risks from a storytelling/filming standpoint. I'm all for that rather than cookie cutter comedies and dramas.

Looks OK, but it doesn't grab me the way the trailer did for Season One. I was never a big fan of Matthew McConaughey, but his turn as Rust Cohle in S1 was absolutely mesmerizing. I just can't see either lead in S2 delivering that enthralling a performance.
