Right on the heels of Leonard Nimoy. So sad. RIP Grace.

I always thought her wonderful in role and was sorry to see her character sidelined and undeveloped. Also sorry to see her go. :(

(I know it's different, but there are certain correlations to be made as it seems to be a habit of Star Trek shows to be unfair to actresses of the original line up: how Rand got dismissed from the main cast in the same way Dr. Crusher did from ST TNG.)

When I worked in the newspaper industry, she was scheduled to make an appearance on a book signing tour. The appearance was cancelled so my story was never published but I was able to interview her by phone. She was a very kind and gracious woman. She went through a genuine living nightmare after she disappeared from Star Trek and finally got her life back on track. This is very sad news.
