Like I said, I'm not hotdog expert/aficionado, but those tasted very good to me. They're multiple times better than any I had ever had in my home or anyone else's. They're relatively inexpensive, as well. At Gray's Papaya, the Recession Special is 2 hotdogs and a drink for $4.95. That's a good price for NYC.
The thing with NYC is that there are, apparently, very good hotdogs available in many, many places including on street corner vendors (I haven't had any of those).

I always loved the American way in Hot Dogs. The Onion you guys use there is fantastic. Anyway, I thought you'd be surprised to see how Hot Dogs (or "completos") as we call them, are prepared here in my country. This is only Chilean, no other country --not even our neighbors-- do them this way. They go with Tomato, Avocado, and Mayo.
They're good, very good actually, but I still prefer the way they're done in the States.
Also, I can see the prices in the US are great, too.Comment

^ You're right. The location on 6th Ave and 8th Street is closed as is the location that was at 8th Ave and 37th Street. I had been in the Village location once. I believe my wife stopped in there for one of their drinks.

That's a tasty-looking frankfurter, E. I would never have thought of avocadoes--is it like quacamole?Last edited by PNGwynne; Apr 26, '15, 5:07 PM.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

Guacamole is a Mexican preparation. I'm not sure if there is any other Latinamerican countries where they do anything similar, but here in Chile we have nothing quite like it. What we use on our "Completos" (Hot dogs) is mashed avocadoes with nothing else added. Just mashed avocadoes and some salt. And actually, we have that with bread almost on a daily basis. I know Mexicans, or peoples from anywhere else might think that's funny. My father told me in Brazil people have avocadoes with sugar. Now that's sounds funny to me.Comment
