Hello to the Mego Museum family,
My husband "Tony"(Toysrus) has been on the MM for many years now. Some of you already know the story about our son "Joey" and I'm sure this will be news to many.
Joey is 12 and is and has been fighting a daily battle since he was 9 with a rare autoimmune disease and things are no better these days then it was a couple of years ago when I first started the original thread on our son.
I'm reaching out to Mego Museum family for help. I never was one to ask for help. But my husband always did & still does say this is his favorite forum.
And I know we never officially met any of you in person but for me to reach out for help, really means we need major help.
Not only is Joey constantly in a battle for health but my husband Tony is also dealing with many health issues himself. They both have more bad days than good. Tony has brain surgery for a tumor in 2005. He was fine from 2006-2009. Around late 2009 small seizures started coming on. After many medical exams it turns out that over the years scar tissue has formed on Tony's brain which trigger constant seizures. For quite some time now he is having 4 seizures a week and he is wiped out by every seizure. So Tony barely gets on the computer at all.
Tony is disabled. Due to going on disability at such a young age his pay check is so low. I'm the only one working. I started a gofundme page. If you could donate that would be very helpful and very much appreciated. If not please don't feel bad or feel that I'm begging.Maybe you could share Joeys GOFUNDME link on your Facebook, Twitter, mail contacts or wherever you can.
We cashed out our 401k, bank and due to Joey's needed vitamins not being covered by insurance we are scraping daily to get by. Raising two children & taking care of Joey & Tony is a fight I will never give up on. But it is rough. Its been very hard emotionally as well on our daughter who is 11.
Joey like his Dad (Tony) loves toys.comics, movies and so on.
Thank you so much.
Wife of Toysrus(Tony) & Joey's Mom
