    Forgotten stairs

One of our favorite things to do is explorer old cemeteries . It was the first really nice Saturday of the year today, hit 72 I think. Well outside Akron on Waterloo Road we came across this old long forgotten about place. It was very much grown up but wonderful to see old marble markers dating from the late 1780's .
This set of stairs I thought was worthy of a couple pictures.
Check out the little blue flowers growing on the stairs, they are called "forget me not's" is that just perfect !

These have a real fairy tale feeling to them.
Suitable for weddings and horror movies! (or both at the same time...)

Don't trip! Those look treacherous! Very cool photos.

I'll be honest. Cemeteries creep me out. Always have. Nothing peaceful about imagery introduced to us kids through horror films and scooby doo.

^You really wouldn't like Chestnut Grove Cemetery near me then. It's supposed to be haunted and weird, freaky stuff happens there.

        Cool pics Ben!

Great pics. All that's missing is the Savannah Bird Girl.

Our local cemetery is in the sand dunes just off Lake Michigan. It's an odd, old place with graves back in little nooks and crannies of the dunes. There are little ledges with three or four graves in places and LOTS of creepy stairs.

Too bad I don't live just a little closer to Ohio, those stairs would make a good setting for band photos!

Some great photos in this thread! Cemeteries and graveyards are, at the same time, both peaceful and desolate, but always filled with interesting memories and even more interesting history. I rode out to the cemetery with MIB41 where his parents are buried back in February and some of the older headstones dated back as far as 1740. I'll have to take my trusty camera out and do some cemetery and graveyard shoots...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
