omg, Uncle Bobby and Bimbo! i used to know all the words. Iloved those small puppets on strings, and the 2 from Bimbo's pocket. My friend used to be one of the audience children: Yeah, she too told me he was tipsy on camera, and she smelled the booze. Gosh.
I remember Harrigan, and always looked for the "Blunder Woman" (Wonder Woman parody) skits. Can't find them online, though. oh well.
ugh, and that "Just Like Mom'...ugh, yuck...my eyes hurt..."dirty old man", indeed...Comment

I've honestly got a real soft spot for The edison Twins, but it was a pretty straight forward show, not sure I'd call it strange. That "Vision on" is quite the blast from the past though, I don't think I'd have thought of that one in a million years.Comment

My wife and I were both big Vision On fans growing up, we both find ourselves humming the music from the Hippo segments.
It's not a kids show but anyone remember "Don't Ask Me?" with Dr Magnus Pyke (the "She blinded me with Science" guy)?Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Not Commander Tom! Next thing you're going to tell me is that Dave Thomas of Rocketship 7 fame smoked weed with Biff Beeper.
I grew up on the other side of Lake Ontario from Toronto. This list of shows brings back memories of Welch grape juice and bowls of Quisp.Comment

You're probably right. My memory of the opening is weird, but I barely watched or remember the show. They were twins with blonde afros who solved crimes with science, or something? I think Cory Haim was on it at some point?Comment

I wear my Rocket Robin hood badge proudly and without apology! Louisville was one of a handful of cities back in the late 60's and early 70's that actually got this show, so I was able to grow up watching the series. What today's generation is unable to comprehend is the value this show had with it's unique pacing of adventure dispersed with little celebratory vignettes profiling Rocket and his merry men. It's definitely a piece of animation intended for the era it was created in. But I placed it in front of my grandson and he loves it, so it can still speak to a new generation. Sam has made me these wonderful custom figures and Lil D holds one and commands that I hold him and march around the coffee table in a celebratory trot as the show's theme comes on. How many people here know the lyrics? Strike that. How many three olds in the WORLD know the lyrics? I think I stand on Holy ground. (;Comment
