Kentucky players, bunch of sore losers (the starters), they refused to shake hands...they walked right straight unto the dressing...only the coaching staff did the right thing (as well as the bench players)...greeting the Wisconsin players and staff.
I hate Rex Chapman...he's such a biased pro Kentucky commentator...I'm glad his beloved team lost...that's what you get, homer...ha, ha...
Wait. What channel did you watch the game on? They had KY commentators on one channel, Wisc on another, and the national broadcast - Jim Nantz - on a third. You probably watched the KY broadcast?
I teach high school in a pretty diverse area. The n word is said by every single race and they say it so often they don't even realize they said it. I have third period class where I'm on n word patrol and the kids know if they say it I call home. I have never called home on a white or spanish student. The worst part about all of my black students using it, is that they don't get how *** backwards that is....some claim to have taken the word back and made it "their own", but it's a bunch of crap because if I reach a parent or guardian (which sadly doesn't happen enough), they get ****ed. I don't think he meant it in the way that the kkk does, but he needs to drop that word from his daily vocabulary....a lot of people do.
I had Kentucky winning in my bracket and beating Wisconsin in the final four. In saying that, I'm happy that Wisconsin won. I was rooting for them.
Kentucky looked pretty vulnerable against Notre Dame last week. That game came down to a last second shot that Notre Dame missed with Kentucky winning by two points. It's a big accomplishment to go undefeated for as long as Kentucky did and they were a very good team, but if we are being honest, the SEC is not the toughest basketball conference around. And, Kentucky even had some games go down to the wire during conference play this season. For the most part, their games, within the SEC, were unwatchable because they were so lopsided in favor of Kentucky. Kentucky didn't compete against the same level of talent that the other three teams in the final four faced during their regular seasons.
Guess in the food chain, the lowly badger is a more dangerous animal than the wildcat...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
And let's stop this silly ungoing chitchat that this Kentucky team would beat the worst team in the NBA right now, the Knicks...please...the Knicks might suck by NBA standards, but it's still an NBA team with grown men who actually were drafted (or taken from other pro leagues around the world)...unlike a college team that only has maybe one NBA bound player, two at best, and let's say even four or five like Kentucky. The Knicks are all grown men...the Kentucky players are basically teenagers...please...the Knicks would destroy the Wildcats. Perhaps Kentucky could pull a miracle upset here and there, I'm not say it's impossible...but in a seven game playoffs...they would get destroyed every time...
Kind of strange ESPN didn't have their big shows on today to talk about it. No Sportsnation, no Around The Horn, no Pardon The Interruption. Heck,CBS Sports didn't even have Jim Rome on. Guess they didn't want to talk about it today.
Wow. CBB officials strike again....simply hand Duke 5 pts in the last 4 min of the game. Presumably after Coach K (I guess the K stands for KING) had his little temper tantrum against the refs after the first half ended.
Winslow clearly stepped out of bounds and passed the ball to Okafor, who dunked it and was fouled. Missed the FT. There's 2 pts.
Winslow also clearly touched the ball before it went OB...call wasn't reversed and Duke came down and hit a 3.
Yes, Wisc played poorly down the stretch but take 5 pts off the board for Duke and just add 3 for Wisc (maybe they only score once in two possessions) at a crucial time of the game and it's a whole different ball game.
